Tutorial to get menu music playback back

1st, happy New Year to everyone!

After the last update, music ingame playback was broken, but I found out how to re-enable it. Follow these steps:

1) In race 07 main folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\race 07), check if mssmp3.asi exists in this folder. It seems to be an audio libray for MP3 playback, similar to a dll. I downloaded RACE 07 and addons after the update, and this file wasn't in the folder. Fortunately, I had a backup of the game folder + addons in my external HD which contained the mssmp3.asi file, so I just copied it to the main RACE 07 folder, and then the menu music started being played again. If you don't have it, I can find a way to provide you this file.

2) the menu theme tracks from race 07 and addons (such as GTR Evolution) must be placed in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\race 07\Music. Before the last update, the addon and DLCs menu tracks were located in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\race 07\GameData\Music. Why did Sector3 change this is something I don't know. If you have RACE 07 and all the addons and DLCs, there should be 4 menu themes tracks:

1) GTR Evolution Soundtrack.mp3
2) Race On - sun_file.mp3
3) Race07_Main_Theme.mp3
4) STCC_Mustasch_MenuMusic.mp3

These tracks seem to be played randomly each time you open RACE 07. Unfortunately, the update disabled customized menu interface as well, such as the red theme you got when you launched GTR Evolution (plus the custom DLC menu theme). Now we only have the default menu theme from RACE 07 in blue. Please leave a reply reporting whether it worked or not for you.

You can also take it from a GTR2 install. I couldn't install the Race 07 demo with the full game installed. The link wouldn't work.
