Wow!
There is really $h** on Steam.

Do Steam really approve Shovelware such as this?

Lol, Valve doesn't care. If they had actual quality control, stuff like this wouldn't be allowed.

I want Greenlight back.
At least with that the shovelware garbage got released at a slower rate.
Unless Valve starts doing some actual quality control.

They got rid of Greenlight so they could make $100 PER asset flip

Valve is a terrible Company, you want ♥♥♥♥ like this to go away, then stop giving them money, it's the the only thing they care about.

Again, they get PAID to accept shít in the first place.

Buying or not buying anything wouldn't make a difference as there's a paywall for trash devs to get their 10 secs of fame.

The problem is not mainly steam. yes all can get to steam but software like this would be less on steam if less people would buy it. When a few thousand people buy this games (enough are about 150 to get a win) stupid devs will produce them and upload it. if noone or less then 150 would buy it then the devs wouldn't buy the fee for the game. and as long as there are achievement hunters which review games like this positive they sell good.

I dont understand Achievement hunting on steam.
There is no gamescore or visible trophies like Xbox and PSN, so they are 100% useless.

There is something, you can show on your profile. and much people like to make it visible on their profile to show that they have a massive amount of 100% games or a big number of achievements. itzs like game collecting. Much palyers have a massive amount of unplayed games only to show it on profile. The other part are websites like astat or truesteamachievments which are only for players to competit in collecting achievements, games ,....

The main goal of these shítty games is to reap profit from trading cards. If consumers stop buying their games, they'll jump onto the next bandwagon/trend to continue their BS.

Not anymore.
Steam put that you need to sell a specific amount of copies of the game to be able to add cards.
Its all about achievements for people who wants to have high numbers without having any actual skill to complete real achievements.

seems like they'll have to figure out some sort of restriction for achievements in that case now based on the influx of garbage achievement spam games like these. they take little to no skill and just make the entire concept of achievement hunting look bad.

There's a restriction but that still doesn't stop them from trying which is why they resort to achievement spam/lewd/controversial games to accomplish said gaol
