Stuck at welcome screen, cannot play at all

Hi guys,

bought this game yesterday on sale, tried playing for an hour but spent most of it on forums or fiddling with settings to try and get the game to let me play.

I'm playing on Oculus Rift S. When I reach the first Welcome message where they ask to press the trigger to enter I get stuck. I can see my hands, everything moves fine, every button press makes my hands move. But none of them count as pressing the trigger to let me enter.

I tried pressing while aiming at the icon, the text, the sky, myself... everywhere. Changes nothing.

I tried switching to xbox controller and keyboard/mouse, neither worked.

I tried disabling my firewall and windows defender (don't have a standalone antivirus), didn't work.

I'm so pissed I might just refund the game even though I payed like 8$ for it.

Anyone got a clue?

Sounds like a bad file somewhere or Oculus's software isn't reading your inputs properly so Steam VR would do the same. Try verifying the games cache and lowing the games quality for maximum speed

you have to aim at the little controller at the bottom of the message and pull the trigger....

My controllers work perfrectly in all my other VR games, both on Oculus and on Steam VR (Asguard's Wrath, Audica, Skyrim, Fallout, Payday 2, VRChat etc.)

Verifying game cache didn't work and I don't see how I could lower the graphics when I can't even get to a menu in game.

Like I said, all I can do is move my hands and fingers. The green laser dot is there, I can aim wherever I want and spam the trigger on the text, the controller icon, the "ENTER" prompt, anywhere. Nothing happens and I'm stuck there.

Same for me, and I have seen people play Seeking Dawn on a Rift S setup, so I don't know why or how mine is different. It doesn't make sense

Got the Same Problem. Worked Fine the other Day and Suddenly it wont let me Start.

Played it before, now it does not work anymore. Controllers are fine, reinstalled the Game, restard my Computer. Nothing works so far.

Update: When I brought my whole pc and VR setup over to a friends, I was able to set up a MUCH larger guardian space and VOILA, Seeking Dawn worked flawlessly. (My own play area was definitely less than the recommended 2mX2m). Perhaps it's self-limiting setting depending on how large your guardian space is set to?

Got the same issue, cant click enter woth the controllers but works in other games.

OK I FIGURED IT OUT GUYS IF YOURE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR CONTROLLERS NOT WORKING HERES WHAT TO DO.
1-GO TO BIG PICTURE MODE
2-GO TO LIBRARY AND CLICK ON SEEKING DAWN
3-CLICK CONTROLLER AND FORCE TO OFF

THEN THE VR CONTROLLERS WORKED LICK A CHARM FOR ME AND DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS THE REST OF THE GAME
