Known Issues + Potential Solutions

In this sub forum, you will find our most commonly reported issues and some possible solutions. If you’ve found a solution, don’t hesitate to say so on your issue thread. We’ll update it here!

Please read this thread before making a report.

First, Please Be Sure You Have the Latest Graphics Drivers

We have found that occasional launch issues can be solved by downloading the latest drivers for your card.

Get the latest drivers here:

List of Known Issues

HIGH OCCURRENCE

Constructions may appear missing. Reloading (Save & Quit) fixes this issue.
We are looking into the issue.

MEDIUM OCCURRENCE

Infinite Loading Screen

• If you experience this issue, please report this. We are looking into the issue.

“Unable to Connect” at any time

• Please try to restart your router/modem and re-launch the game.
  
• If you experience this issue, please report it in #report-bugs channel. We are looking into the issue.

Loot/Death Chests fall/spawn out of reach (on a higher or lower level)

• Visit a Sorcerer to buy the Valkyrie Delivery Service Consumable in order to get it back.

Playing while both M/K and a controller are plugged-in can lead to multiple issues.

• Unplugging and replugging controller fixes most issues.

Enemies: Sometimes spawn in Player's view range.

Volcanic Spire Biome Generation Issues:

• Sometimes, the path to Surtr’s Lair may be blocked by Lava.
  
• The best workaround is to build a bridge over the Lava using Constructions.

Elite Witches do not spawn in Volcanic Spire:

• Elite Witches in your Saga Quest step may not appear.
  
• We are looking into the issue.

LOW OCCURRENCE

GPU is heating up.

• The game offers various optimization options in the Settings, please see if those can help. Head to the Frame Rate Limit option and try setting the cap to 30 FPS.

Crash on boot

• Make sure that Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime is installed on your computer, and uninstall Sonic Studio.

Partial loss of functionality (cannot attack, dodge, or interact/harvest)

• A solution can be to build a ramp (or any construction), and you're immediately able to do everything again. We are still investigating this.

Linnorm Launch: Very rarely a character can be launched in the air for an extended period of time by a Linnorm

Wolves landing on heads

Giant HP: Sometimes, Giants may re-spawn with low amounts of HP.

• We are looking into the issue.

GENERAL

Corsair peripherals' lights turn off when using the game.

• Update iCUE to make sure you have the latest version, then open iCUE and go to Settings > Software and Games > and enable the option "Enable Game Integrations".

LAUNCH/CONNECT ISSUES + WORKAROUNDS

Having issues launching or connecting? Please try the following list:

🔹 Restart your device
🔹 Restart your internet (router and/or modem
🔹 Check if the game needs an update
🔹 Uninstall and reinstall the game
🔹 Make sure your computer's time is not on "manual" (should be set to "automatic")
🔹 Check if Steam needs an update
🔹 Try verifying Steam files
🔹 Make sure your anti virus isn't blocking the game
🔹 Update your graphic card drivers
🔹 Verify Microsoft Visual C++
🔹 If you use a VPN, try turning it on and off
🔹 Launch Steam as an Admin and then start the game

Try these one at a time, launching between each:
🔹 Write %localappdata% in the Windows File Explorer, double-click on the folder "TOM" and delete the "Saved" folder. Launch the game.
🔹 Uninstall the game. Write %localappdata% in the Windows File Explorer, double-click on the folder "TOM" and delete the "Saved" folder. Reinstall the game. Launch the game.
