No offline mode, seriously?

Please do yourself a favor, do not buy this game until it has an offline feature.

I hate GaaS game, can't pause, can't play without internet, can't play if servers are down, and you still pay full price.

It won't have an offline feature. I wanted this from the start open betas and they said no. They modelled the game around online stuff and said it would be too difficult to change the coding/balancing. Which sucked because playing with other players who would constantly leave or miss a few days before they joined meant you were pretty much always at a handicap.

It would be reassuring if the developers would tell us that when they will pull the plug of their servers in the future, then they will patch the game for offline play.

Because they probably won't. Developers rarely do, it would cost them time and money to make the game offline.

The time and money that their developers would spend on making an offline version, would be worth it, considering a lot of people would buy the game for this offline play.

That, plus it would be a legacy project for them in the future, not something that will disappear and disappoint a lot of people when the servers will go offline.

In this business, reputation is very important, since the advent of forums, widespread internet access, magazines, reviews etc... so for them to spend time and money for a short and long term benefit is not wrong, on the contrary.

Please consider making offline play possible Norsfell and Gearbox Publishing.

agree too, i wanted it for steam deck, but since its online only... will keep on my wishlist for now
