this makes melee better for exploring and defending, in bosses it's fine to use a bow.
as for healing/buffs, buffs are built into classes not to many team buffs you can get outside of class skills (i only know of 1 and the healing brew is not worth it) a few runes can affect team mates but those are RNG.
as for healing all blue lighting weapons have a heal skill
axe = 100 hp regen in an aoe around the caster heals 500 i think before it wears off (once hit the team mate can leave your side and keep the regen) upgrades to 200 regen when purple
hammer burst aoe heal 400, 800 for purple (a guess as i've never made the purple version)
bow = you shoot an aoe that heals for 50 as long as they stay in the field you crated
total heals 250 and it's bad for self healing, and with how valuable moving is not good for healing others either. purple at a guess is 100 and 500 in total
and the legendary sword is a huge aoe field that heals 300 a tick up to 1500 before it wears off.
All weapons have "spells" however, and the class that seems to specialize in casting those spells is the Warrior, one of the starting two. Though they can realistically use any weapon well, the weapon specializations they are able to use are Sword and Axe. There's also the Seer that gets a sort-of free spell "proc" that can heal allies and root enemies.
So basically, all classes are "magic" classes in a sense, but they're mostly gonna play out as battle-caster types. No real "wizard dude" class.
