People want so much of this game "disabled" or made easier you might as well go play dont starve with mods.
I don't see this often, levelling up making the game harder.
I spent 4 hours in a 10 men game this morning and all I had were 2 runes to keep 20% of materials. DIdn't get any other runes that run. Thus saying a purple rune x2 and nothing else is due to rng and common>rare runes might be missing the point.
Wouldn't mind being able to select 5/6 runes that "can" drop, foregoing other runes being available that run. I think it would be a bit more strategic than rng. Plus, you get to play with a small element of rng but still as "you" like to enjoy the game.
Have a nice day!
So when we have twenty runes unlocked we might be able to seal eight points of runes. Which would be four super rare runes, or 1 common rune.
Simply put, not making the rng automatically work for us, but improving the rune chances a little bit for our preferred methods of play.
Fight the elves+clear their camps. It's only a blue rune, so it doesn't require anything fancy to get it. I am level 26 in the season and done all but 3 challenges and still get the runes I need through camp clears =P. Sure EVERYONE would like 4x empowered soul and 1 weaver, who wouldn't? But that would completely imbalance the game.
Welcome to RNG. You just have bad RNG, but it isn't the end of the world...well, it is, but not for you. You're eternal!
Get real man. imagine if your group was like 1 guy had 5 ragnarage and the other 4 people in your group all had soul powered so you just went and destroyed everything.
if you're that interested in cheating, just go into singlep layer, and actually cheat. 1-hit kills on everything. no reason to ruin multiplayer lol
I mean, this is already what's happening. People prioritize whatever damage boosting runes they can get their hands on because those are the best options by far. If you consider that cheating, I have bad news; that's what the developers designed, it's the meta in this game, it's been the meta since very early on, and there are no signs of it changing any time soon.
As for op, I think that disabling certain runes would be a bandaid fix, and wouldn't address the bigger overarching problem; there's no variety in rune builds because there are very clear best options. Reworking runes would fix not only the problem of the rune pool getting worse as you unlock more, but also increase build variety and ideally shift us away from the meta we have now where damage is the best option by far. It's also be far better for game health and replayability if there was a reason to use something other than Soul Powered or its store brand cousin, Nothing to Hide.
so pretty much the best best way to play the game is just dont play the game.
