singleplayer does not mean offline
Look at ARK, it is the same genre, mentions that the game is single player. You can play it offline despite it being a primarily online game. Look at Valheim, also says single player despite being a primarily online game, yet can be played offline. Same with Conan Exiles and many other games of similar genre. Same thing.
Single player is inherently offline play. Solo play specifically points out the game is online but you can play it solo. Wording matters. Why do you think you see so many topics in games these days of people asking this same question? It ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks to constantly be lied too about what a game is due to a simple word.
Im sorry your PERSONAL definition of singleplayer does not match the actual definition of single player.
Single player just means its a game that can be played by ONE PLAYER.
Thats it. No mentioning of offline or online.
So you think World of Warcraft is a single player game because you can play it without anyone in your party. Got it. Your PERSONAL opinion is objectively wrong.
ark is on servers as well (you host your own server in single player mode, thus "online" in a sense)
Its not single player because you are connected to a server with multiple people at any given time.
Tribes of midgard. You can connect to a server with JUST YOU. No one else. And the game scales to 1 player. Thats what makes it single player.

adjective
adjective: single-player
denoting or relating to a video game designed to be played by one person at a time.
I think you have spent too much time licking the devs boots instead of examining your own pathetic attempt at debunking the issue here.
