I normally play up to Neolithic and probably up to copper age if I have time because I don’t like bronze and steel age roundhouses and stables upgrade.
So far there are 2 things that imo needs to be addressed as far as my play is concerned.
1. The raider alarm music sound is still playing even if the raiders are a bit too far. Probably it might be due to uneven raiders spawn location. Though it’s nice for them to spawn from different location but the music must be regulated properly.
2. There is no gate though it’s ok without it but I guess it will add beauty and controls of rally point.
Finally I got SOME feedback. I've playtested myself quite a bit, but other players might play different and have different feedback that might be important. Thank you.
- I'm glad that you at least think that it's 'quite fun'.
- You don't think it's too easy/boring or too hard? (normal)
- Do you think that it'd be too hard on hardcore just because of the low population, or because of how i did other things? (for example, hardcore timer, etc)
- I don't know how to do anything with the raider music or notification. I've noticed in my play that it happens (music) a certain way because (spoiler ahead for other readers) I have several small numbers of raiders triggered at different times, so that they might accidentally be from different places and also might just surprise a player because they don't expect a few more to show up as well as from different places. I can't control their spawn sources otherwise. But the music will keep playing if there are some still coming somewhere or if some who're leaving the map haven't left yet (sometimes). I can't address this unless I knew how to code the music differently and control where they spawn from, because otherwise that's something I want in the scenario, and how the music etc behaves is just a consequence of that. (But i did notice, unexpectedly, that subsequent raider spawns all try to first join a leader group before coming towards your village, and I'd rather it not do that.)
- (another spoiler ahead) I intentionally removed the gate option. It's supposed to be that way. I did this just as another thing different to help 'keep the game fresh' for the player and make them have to play a bit differently than what they're used to.
Thank you for your feedback. (I'd like to see how it goes for you if you go all the way to steel and play steel for some time.)
Actually this mod will require a lot of the game knowledge to succeed. Seeing that KP is a bit high it would be very difficult to get past 2 eras and prepare for better defense for raiders at very low population on hardcore. This mod is like the Very Ancient Warriors but the difference is that raiders though few spawns in Paleolithic. And yeah judging by the experience they are increasing in numbers every era. Well if the timer for raiders advancement is narrower and with increasing number of raiders it would be very difficult to do hardcore.
