Best ways to get knowledge points?
I'm still floundering around in the Paleo period. I've discovered all the techs for the period but am struggling in getting the 15 knowledge points necessary to unlock the Meso period. I've hunted just about every animal type and it seems that the only new knowledge points I'm getting now are the one point increases from surviving each winter.

How do I get to the Meso period quicker? I have a small settlement of 12 people because I can more easily handle the management of it but if I build up a larger settlement will that get me knowledge points quicker?

I wish we could get knowledge points from trading. I have a lot of excess stuff I'd like to get rid of before it rots but all the traders seem to have are mostly things I don't need.

Press 8 on the keyboard and you get a handy page full of progress meters. every commodity grants points when harvested for the first time, and additonal points when reached 5,10,20,50 units and so on. so just keep getting materials.
You can also build additional buildings and recycle them straight after to get points, as most buildings also grant more points the more you build as per the previous example.

I think most who've played quite a lot, don't struggle so much for knowledge points, as we buy so much tech from The Traders, and save up our own. The best way to buy them, is to constantly craft bows, set to maybe 150% of Population. Right up to Iron Age, they are worth 15, so 20 to 30 bows will buy a Tech.

In a typical game, I'll buy between 20 and 30 Techs. Since I often delay advance to Copper Age, until I'm happy with defence of village, I may have well over 100 Knowledge Points to spend at this time.

I almost never get techs offered by traders. So far in one game I was able to purchase a tech early. In another game I went all the way to the Mesolithic era and never once got offered a tech.

That's very strange. Something like 1 in 2 or 1 in 3 offer them to me.

Like I said, I'll buy 20+ in a game. It hate it, if I'm offered one early, and I can't buy it.

Yea i agree it is also strange because every other play through i have done has seen the frequency you mentioned here, but not this one, probably been a dozen trader visits now with zero tech offerings.

I know it's a necro but i am also now seeing this.
