Can't seem to get anyone to roll my rolling megalith?

Basically as the title says - I set up a megalith to make a dolmen (it's only like ten feet away from the spot, even) and nobody seems to want to roll the sucker there. Any idea how to get them going?

Also, side question, I have a ton of free space in my stables but some animals are still listed as in need of shelter - whats up with that?

Rolling a Megalith requires multiple adults to perform simultaneously. If there are other single-person tasks available, they will get assigned as soon as a single adult is available. Until multiple adults are idle at the same time, the Megalith rolling won't get underway.

You get the shelter warning if you have more animals than total shelter slots available. Animals only enter the Stables during Winter, so during the other 3 months, you'll be getting the warning while the Stables are empty.

Thanks man! I guess I'll just let my workload dip as low as possible for a bit. I have about 80 people, so I should be able to get a few people free soon.

Slight correction to what Maehlice said:

Regarding the Megaliths - It's a multi-step process:
1) Mine it until it falls into a boulder
2) Click it and you'll see the option to use 3 wood and 3 hide to build a sledge beneath it. (You'll get the mats back once the sledge pulls the megalith where it needs to go)
3) Wait until people are ready to get it.

Maehlice said it wont begin until 4 people are ready. This is not true, 1 person can go get it him/herself the only problem is it'll take longer. The more people helping the faster it goes. I recommend setting the Megalith-sledge AND the Monument where its being sent to as priority.

This is because one person going alone can be dangerous due to how long it will take to complete the task. The AI is dumb and will continuously try to get this task done and starve/dehydrate/get murdered by animals alone otherwise.

Regarding the stables - You can check this by opening an animal tab on the top left with the + icon. If you create a Animal dashboard on your hud you can scroll over the furthest icon on the right which is the total amount of space you have in your stables. Conversely you can also check the various management screen options.

Also correcting Maehlice other statement that you'll get bombarded with the warning for only 3 seasons. This is incorrect - it will be all 4 seasons (hopefully). If you're not getting it in winter its because some of your livestock has died and you've now met the cap from the loss.
