Save Game Editing Issue
So i wanted to edit one of my save games, give myself another 10 more knowledge because late game was dragging and i was about to run out of copper and tin in the bronze age.

I figured out the save was a secret .zip file
Extracted the contents
Found where the knowledge line was, edited
Put the file back in the .sav file
Opened the game, "Save File Corrupted"

Looked around, haven't found a good solution. I have noticed that 7zip describes an "uncorrupted" save as having a "Host OS" of "FAT" and a "corrupted" .sav with a host OS of "NTFS". Didnt see an option in 7zips options mentioning anything like that. I also saw another post suggest it's not really a .zip file, but a .gzip file. Tried that, no luck.

Im out of ideas, looking to the community for help.

.sav files are hexadecimal and can only be edited with an hexadecimal editor and even then you will need some knowledge of hexadecimal.
To achieve what you intend to do I would look for a trainer. "Cheatshappens" have got one.

Make sure you restart the game after editing the save file and giving it the extension ".SAV". (By default, the extracted XML file has no extension.)
