Iron better than bronze?
I havnt reached the iron age yet so id ask. Is iron better in the game than bronze? Because in reality iron wasnt all that good. It was more steadily available because there was iron everywhere, while tin deposits were few and spread out. However, bronze was stronger and didnt corrode, only weathered. I think this should also be represented in the game.

Yeah, you don't need Tin and Copper, plus you need loads of Iron for Guard Towers and Reinforced Gates. Steel, which you can get not too long after does provide better tools.

Cool. Good to know you didnt gave iron just a stat boost from bronze. I also saw a similar thing happening between flint and copper. Copper wasnt necesserily better than flint, so i gathered 40 tech points and went straight to bronze.

I prefer copper over flint because copper deposits contain more ore than flint ones and by the time I unlock copper I'm usually mining flint far from home, so it allows me to bring miners closer to the village.
The same happens with iron.

i used both flint and copper, as some copper tools like axe was better, but on my map flint was abundant around my starting position, so there was no need to fully change to copper.

Don't copper sicles have better stats than flint? It's not true for all tools, but there are some exceptions so I think it's wise to go copper sicles at least. Also, they deteriorate slower.

No, they are identical.

wow, this is seriously no joke. i transitioned from bronze to steel, and in hte meantime i was making both while making the transition, and i went through 4 copper/tin mines and my iron mines arnt even half way through. made an equal amount of tin/copper/iron mines.

i know its a little historical to make copper and tin less available but damn, its still a game were playing XD
