Then your goat numbers will automatically be reduced.
For a healty population you need around 15-20.
My goats once died out at 10.
You can't sell animals, because they don't get stored.
You can only sell things that are currently in your storage.
The trader would basically be degraded to a free gift every time he comes around.
There are people who got over 200 goats and with that kind of population and births you can buy everything.
i've been looking for sheep-creatures for years but they've never appeared on my map :(
Look for mouflons to get sheep and for ibexes to get goats.
Those are the names for the animals before domestication.
Try to look around at the beginning of spring, that's when all the new herd will spawn in with a couple of young ones.
And what should the price be?
It's currently 50 for a small animal, and 100 for a large one.
That means you can buy out a trader with ease.
If you lower the prices, the taming system becomes superfluous.
Also, how do you decide which animal to sell? Male? Female? Old? Young?
If you want to decide that, that would mean a lot of changes to the traiding system.
Alsp don't understand the problem.
The whole point of livestock is to have a population so big that you can get what you need from the ammount they breed each year, and having a buffer for bad times.
If you get more off of them than you need, just have less of them.
If you have em for money, to buy stuff of traders you can't make, sell the leather, meat, wool cloth or whatever.
