What items do you like to trade?
I've been selling spears and bows. But it just dawned on me maybe I should sell slings since you get 2 per hide.

Anyway, what do you like to sell? Maybe we can learn something.

Bone items.

I hunted a lot early on and had a ton of bones. So I crafted them into spears and barbs and sold them

It's nice because only the spiritual shrines require bones to build, so they don't hold up any construction if you sell them.

in the first 2 ages you get 5 trade value for wooden spears/harpoons. since they only use sticks, you can mass produce a bunch of those and send the other guys mass collecting sticks when you have downtime to kill (enough food stocked up and nothing important to do) so you can trade them in bulk when the next trader shows up

at some point their value drops to 1, so it's not really worth the hassle any more.

after that point, bone harpoons are a nice tradegood (10 trade value for a fairly long time. i think they only obsolete and drop down to 1 once you have bronze?). you can also often buy bones from the trader at a profit (they only cost ~2 value so you get 4-5 bones per harpoon which you can then turn into 4-5 new harpoons)

later on you can also mass produce wool or linen clothes. they sell at 5 per unit and the resources are unlimited/renewable.

from the copper age onward, you can also mass produce fishing rods (require linen and sticks, both renewable), they have a value of 15, so you can stack a nice amount of trade value without sacrifcing much storage space
I trade the cloths from linen and wool due to they are nearly no input costs.

I like to sell linen, it's easy to mass produce and even during the iron age its worth 5 each.

Bows and fishing rods. Compound bows are bugged, for some reason their value is 1.

I build fishing traps as they sell very high for very little material.
this beside everything that's about to get wasted

Early on I like to trade skin outfits. 10 each and 2 pr skin, so that is 20 value pr raw skin, and very little work needed to put in. Slings are only worth 5 each, so 10 for a skin. I also craft at minimum 10 wooden spears and harpoons for the tech points. Can help by a tech too.

Bone Spears and Skin Outfits until Copper Age.

I often use bones as trade goods because i have no further need of it but getting endless supply by hunting and slaughtering.

But what I also like as trade goods are: Fishing rod. They are easy in producing and i often only need a dozen of it.

What and how I trade is always changing, according to all circumstances at the moment.

As a whole the raw materials for crafting weapons/clothing are cheaper than the weapons/clothing when selling. When you consider this, its almost always foolish to sell raw materials.

I tend to convert Skins into clothing early and sell the clothing.
1 Dry Skin= 2 Skin Clothing
Skin=5 trade
1 Clothing=10
5 trade vs 20 trade
