like i said, i can't find any other young female goats/ibex on the map when i need them and when i do i find one by the time i tame it my males are old... its weird, been happening for many years now... i'm sure it's just terrible luck though
I'm currently running my first civ well beyond its use-by date to try to get the 200-pop achievement. I don't have a single goat. My livestock is all pigs, sheep, donkeys and horses. I would suggest, save your game and just see what happens if you civ up without having the goats. Get the tech for the other livestock and just run with what you can find. That's assuming you're on normal difficulty; I haven't tried hardcore yet.
You can set a max number of animals in the Limits tab.
lots of meat and leather you got there hehehe >:) if you got a population boom try and cull some of the males, with fewer males around you should have a stable population unless that one male is a horny bastard and has his sweet time with all the lady goats
unless the damn goat is gay like mine lol
it's pigs for me, i swear they have triplets every season!
lol
