Bridge building

I've just unlocked the tech for bridges, but I cannot figure out how to build them. I drag them across the river, but the icon stays red and it doesn't let me finalize the placement and begin construction. Any advice?

I think there's a length limit - not sure why, given that they're supported by stilts.

It's also possible that you need to have *some* access to the other side, but honestly that creates a big issue with some areas if it's the case.

I had this problem because i was starting the bridge too high. Try clicking closer to the waterline to start.

also make sure you dont do it on the shallow part where they already can walk while crossing, i didnt have any trouble with bridge
