Can't build an axe - game rendered useless

Gathered some stone - but it does nothing - builds nothing - crafts nothing - stone has no benefit in the game it seems? Wood +stone=axe????? WHERE ARE THE CRAFTING RECIPES!!!! I'M NOT WASTING ANOTHER SECOND WITH THIS CR@P!

There is an in-game Help feature, which explains what materials are required for tools.

The tutorial would have solved all of your issues if you had simply looked at the things you could make in the crafting area.

Stick + Flint = Flint Axe
Stick + Bone = Bone Axe

Those are just the starting ones and it says the recipe when you hover over the axe in the crafter.

This isn't minecraft homeslice. If you mouse over the item you are trying to make, it tells you what resources you need for it....
