Logistics Nightmare
These are some of my thoughts concerning the state of the game. I have a lot of problems with it in its current state, but I'm hoping that this post might help get attention to these balance and UI issues to get them fixed in the future.

Beginning the early game is very easy. All you do is have people hunt consistently for food and you will have everything you need to get housing, clothing, fame and tech. As you enter the mid-game that is when some of the issues with the game are really noticeable. It is a hassle to manage your gathering flags, it is a hassle to bulk upgrade your walls, a hassle to set priority on your fields (which for some reason count as different tiles rather than one whole structure.) And then we get into the mass production problem. Late game, 100+ population, everything falls apart. With all the farms needed to sustain yourself your people will be in a heavy workload constantly. Sewing crops, harvesting crops, walking to the fields and back, brewing beer and baking bread, storing straw, all while still trying to feed your animals, cut forests, burn charcoal, sew clothes, etc, etc. It's too much! Your citizens are unable to handle the demands, and to make matters worse you need to take into account the increase of raids, attacks and storms. At first there will be next to none of these and their affects will be negligeable. However, late game you are guaranteed one raid a year and certain to have a few storms or animal attacks along the way. This only further reduces the efficiency of your citizens if you have them constantly doing nothing.

Now, this is a problem for me, but I don't know if it is a problem for anyone else. Let me know. I am at a point where I have tons of bronze, flax, wood, and all the facilities to make clothes and tools. However, in a village of 118 people, NO ONE DOES ANYTHING! I have tested this by removing all gathering flags and watching, they just stop doing these production jobs!

Perhaps if seasons were given longer lengths, raids and storms held less often, the AI given tweaks to their innate prioritization and the UI improved a bit then this would clear a few problems up to make the end game more balanced. On a side note, I do think this game needs some proper music to play to other than the boring bongo, maraca and flute combo that plays every few minutes.
