Id love to see how other people ended up or have gotten to. Im just about to enter the copper age when i get enough knowledge points.

Took a LONG time to build the pallisade and so far to be fair it hasnt really been that effective (towers never seem to be manned!).

I am probably going to create a sub-village off away somewhere for hunting/mining after this.

Anyone else got screenies, feel free to share, would love to see how your progressing

@Tyso3 Do you see the bar below my ressource window?
This way you can hit the horn-button if raiders attack. People who can fight will get their weapons, man the towers - the rest will gather at the gate to fight the enemy. Everyone else will hide inside the houses - even animals move to the stables.
It makes the whole fighting so much easier :)

I may restart there. Lotsa space to expand.

Here is my current settlement in Forest River.

I'm at the begging of year 2 after a bit more than 2 hours, still early in the game :) I like to play slow and never speed up time, so haven't gotten very far yet. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1670796653

I chose it because of the river on two of 4 sides. It's an easier deal with raiders, when they come from these directions and yes - there's plenty of space to expand even though I had to clear a couple of stone piles even before I actually needed stone, because they were in the way and I would have lost quite some space if I would have built around them.

my first play so far. Still learning. Got into huge straw shortage around 100 pop, then I set the animal limits and apart from that it was smooth play. Next time I will be smarter.
