Guard Tower Functionality
People don't seem to stay inside the guard towers longer than a second. I've had a few instances where if the villager is in the tower 'while in range of something to shoot,' they'll stay there for a couple seconds, but that's about it. Guard towers currently seem 'functionally' useless.

Your people only keep their positions in the towers if you launch an alert, (F6 to open defense panel) launch an alert and look how your people take positions on the towers, the AI optimize the manpower depending on where the raiders come from, but you also can send people to the towers manually during an alert.

An interesting tip: on the [+] symbols from the top corners you can add customizable pannels, it is useful to have the defense panel open and accesible always.

Thanks for the response. I had clicked through various things, but didn't notice this. Thanks for the response. It was quite frustrating, when everything else seems to be working rather well. Was there a tutorial element to this? If so, I must've missed it. I have my + menus setup, I suppose I just never clicked on the defense tabs, because when I was messing with the + UIs, I didn't need defenses at the time. :P Thanks again.

Nope, in fact this is not in the tutorial, the current tutorial just explains the basic mechanics to start to work on the stone age, maybe it might not be a bad idea if we further add a little 'advanced tutorial' on the metals age explaining a bit the combat and other advanced mechanics

Sounds like a good idea to me. :)
