So best thing to do is setting up a grain field with some haypoles nearby to store your straw.
Thorin :)
It’s a plant. Barley is one of them.
Read the help in game. It tells you what’s best for disease resistance, straw or grain.
Oh, well if you aren't going for disease resistance and just want to get as much straw as possible, then read the help in game. It tells you what's best for disease resistance, straw or grain.
Yes. It have 50% more chance of giving you more straw than the other cereals.
You are not a jerk.
No I am not. are you?
- Barley + 50% chance of extra straw
- Rye 15% extra grain chance and 15% better disease resistance
- Emmer 25% extra grain chance
- Einkorn 25% extra disease resistance
The other crops are pulse crops (vegetable types and don't produce straw).
I played 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 the one with the listed disease resistance is the one that gave me the most trouble it constantly ended up with 8-12 plots not being harvestable and I'd manually have to delete them and re-designate the entire field. I don't think it's working as listed at least not for me.
Which brings me to something else. The field disease mechanic is kinda janky when a crop becomes diseased I can't simply tell them to throw it out and continue what I was doing. I literally have to mark it for destruction, delete the rest of the field, and let them replant. If I don't then when the crops are removed the game doesn't redraw the ground texture and the field looks like a jagged mess due to portions of the "ground mat" missing.
Was looking here, since I had the same question. I will have to agree with Der Liebe Frankie, you are a ♥♥♥♥.
I'm just some ramdom guy that told that barley gives you +50 straw... so the only ♥♥♥♥ here is you.
