Megalith hunting Easy click to locate.
Okay- The megalith shows up in my "inventory" at the top of the screen on the UI.

Apparently I mined a megalith already but I need to transform it for transport.

the problem is I can't find the one that I mined.

I'm using primal view and rolling around the map looking for it and I'm getting motion sickness already because the camera angle doesn't go straight top down.

Apparently the game likes to put the camera in such a way that moves up and down based on the terrain- as if you're playing a FPS. its quite annoying actually.

Anyways- If would be useful if I could click on the Megalith icon on the inventory UI and it cycles through locating my items.

In Oxygen Not Included, I could click on my inventory item and it automatically cycles through all the locations of my items. A feature like that would be useful here.

I also find this annoying, and think the need for two separate tasks to mine it and make it rolling is lame to begin with. If you're going to bother to mine it, you aren't going to just leave it laying around unused - I see no reason for there to be two tasks.

The 'mine' action should just be 'make rolling' and be done with it. Then you wouldn't have to find it again at all - you place a structure that demands megaliths, search one up on the map, and start the 'make rolling' task. Your people mine it and move it. The fact that it takes resources to make it roll is, so what, IMHO.

We are aware of this. We will add an option to locate resources.

Awesome! If that's done I don't even mind having to go back and create a task to make a rolling megalith after the mining task has finished.

It is not correct that "mining" and "preparing for transportation" will be the same task.
I'll explain: if the player orders a monument to be built and has megaliths ready for transport, the villagers will accomplish this task without worrying about the season.
I cut all megaliths (a relatively quick task, done by a single villager) and, when there is availability of villagers, the season is correct and it is not the raiders time, I prepare and transport one at a time.
I do not want to be forced to carry them as soon as they are cut.

The map is so big and the ores, monoliths, trees are so small that I now think it would be worthless.
What can be done is a system of marks (in the style of Civilizarion VI) and a panel where you can click on the mark and be taken to the place.

Geese. Talk about late response. I posted this in March. GG guys.

I also posted about having full camera control like the Focus Camera icon.

Did that ever get added/fixed? Just play Anno 1800 and thats how the camera control should be.

How dare you refer to us as geese!

Looks like the request in your OP is getting some attention from the devs so I guess it was worth it.

When the Senones Gauls (settled in central-east Italy) raided Rome in 390 BC, after the battle of River Allia, the Capitoline Hill was the one section of the city to evade capture by the barbarians, due to its being fortified by the Roman defenders. According to legend Marcus Manlius Capitolinus was alerted to the Gallic attack by the sacred geese of Juno. In Latin countries there is still a saying that warns not to create noise or confusion unnecessary: "don't wake the geese".

Yay. So happy to read this! I hate monolith hunting after I've mined them. So frustrating to scroll and rotate the map every which way trying to locate it.
