Express Evolution Achievement?
For one thing, I don't know the rules. Can you buy tech, can you use 2x 4x and 8x speed?

If not, this does not seem even remotely possible.

I started a game, but I'm up to 4:50 Gametime it says, although I know I've only played 3 hours - so can't figure that out.

I honestly don't see how I could have been more efficient, yet I still need 5 points to unlock Neolithc.

I've gone all the easy ways of getting Knowledge points, like crafting wooden harpoons and spears, building what gives points, like 5 Skull Poles, 5 Totems, 3 Hearths, 3 Mortars etc.

I've always had plenty of Summer(once I got Tanning), and Winter Clothing. Always a stack of food, and always lots of accommodation.

Without going too far, I've hunted everything about, including 3 Woolly Rhino(2 more would give another point). I've not seen a Mammoth anywhere.

Playing as I thought it needed be, as I already said - not remotely possible.

Anyone know more about it, or has done it and can explain?

Yes, you are allowed to buy tech and play on high speeds.

I finished this achievement last night and I don't think it's possible to do it without buying as much tech as possible.

You can use 8x, you can buy tech, you can spam buildings and craft items.

I finished it in 2:54 But I already has all other achievments except 200 people (it is too dull to wait until they migrate/born) and finished all scenarios so I can say that I know some "cheats and hints".

And I agree with previous post - I don't think that you may get it without bying techs and on the normal speed.

OK, thanks. It makes it a pretty bizarre achievement. Buying tech is fine, but having to use speed multipliers makes no sense.

I hate playing under time pressure that’s why I don’t play lost of campaigns that have it.
Yes I asked the same “time” question on this regard before. What is the standard speed for this achievement? Or it will only follow your time/hours seated and playing regardless of speed?! If there is a standard say x2 speed and below or above it has a multiplier effect then its fine. As well as the game can be saved and continued afterwards.
It’s really hard to play under time pressure.

That was done right on release but was considered a bug for some reason and changed later.

As I say, I play almost 8x speed and get achievement in 2:54. So it seems that system counts the real time spent in the game regardless how many game years it takes.

And I can't say that it was really race agains time. Yes, I was in a hurry but all my other games takes 7-9 hours where last 3 of them I was just sitting doing nothing and wait untill pop count reached needed number.

So this achievment can be done in usuall game, but not without buing techs and slow speed.

Thanks for the info. Makes less sense than ever now though.

Someone has posted they got the achievement last night, buying teck, and using 8x speed.

I'm totally convinced, it's not even remotely possible otherwise.

5 hours of gameplay gives you something like 3 years. There's just no way it can be done.

For anyone interested in this achievement, I did it exactly as others said you could - by buying tech, and running the game mostly at 8x speed, and did get it.

I just straight up cheated.

I created a scenario in which I start with 401 knowledge points and bought them all within seconds of starting the game.

The style of play necessary to achieve this is entirely not fun to me.

I was more curious if it would even work than anything else.

To be honest, it wasn't something I relished doing - but turns out, I did sort of enjoy it.

I didn't understand anything with this achievement ... I played for 4 hours in creative mode to unlock this achievement .. I opened all the skills in the skill tree ... And nothing happened ... ((Terrible .. Killed time
Peyhah Aug 30, 2020 @ 4:41am
maybe because creative mode has no raiders so it doesn't count if you try for an achievement there.

by the way the 5 hours is real time, so use x8 as much as possible
