Why is there no sabertooth tiger in the game?
It should be implemented, and be the most dangerous predator along with the cave bear.
the creatures of the game are very docile and easy to hunt
they do not represent a real danger when they appear.

That would be a nice addition imo.

Because they went extinct by the time of the game. If you want more danger you can always mod your scenario. Cave lions are quite a threat, just make more of them in replacement of docile animals.

It is a pity that they are extinct, they are the most iconic predator of the peleolithic.
Megatherium should also be added.
thanks for the tips for the difficulty.

Technically it would be possible to include them. According to german Wiki the saber-toothed-tiger went extinct around 10.000 BC. Roughly around the same time the Mesolithic Era began in Central Europe. Since we don`t know when exactly the game starts, it would be okay to include these cats at game start and let them go extinct as soon as the player proceeds into the Mesolithic.

or it would be better to implement a system of species with a limited population, and that we (humans) have the capacity to extinguish species if we hunt them in excess and do not give them time to reproduce.
including smilodon

That definitely would add a fun aspect to the game.
