Traders no longer offering technology for trade?

I recently entered the copper age and no new technologies are being offered by traders. Is this normal? I just can't seem to fathom how to get a reasonable number of tech points...

It is very random, they could bring tech two times a raw or bring nothing during an aera.

I've not had much consistency. I'm attempting a bit of an experiment by trying to get all tech only via trade. It worked throughout the Paleolithic Era, but now that I've unlocked all of those, I've not been offered tech in at least 20 trader visits. However, it's possible I missed a trader a couple of times so I'm skeptical that a trader will offer a tech again, after it's been offered once and since I only can unlock Pottery right now, I may never get it offered to me again.

They never offer the tech to advance an age, only techs in the age you are in.

This is correct, so if you research all the techs in your current era, traders won't bring any more techs until you unlock the next era.

I get the advancement Era no tech offering, however i am getting zero offerings of tech of any kind in the Paleolithic whatsoever.
