Stone Age 900 prestige in AW hardcore is kind of hard. At more than 100 pops 30 something raiders are coming. I think I have to really make more defense towers than I really planned. I can’t afford too much death from raiders, hate losing 3 and dogs are hard to come by. I’m stalled at around 765. Now I have to change strategy to entice more immigrants as maximum totems and houses prestige accumulation is at maximum. I haven’t tried skull poles though if it will add some more prestige. Otherwise I have to make 2 more stone circles as I already have 3 Dolmens. But this will waste 6 megaliths if I recycle it later.
But the more immigrants the more raiders and they don’t send old raiders.
I do not know exactly the calculation, but I know that, beyond a certain limit, totems, skull poles and not even megaliths can increase prestige. The same happens with towers and houses.
After reaching this limit, only the increase of the population increases the prestige. To reach 900, you need 180 people.
With 200 people, you can reach 940 at the most. Then you can increase 20 for each era you start (20 for copper, 20 for bronze and 20 for iron), until you reach 1000.
I built 112 totems and 96 towers, and even then I had to wait for the population to reach 180 to reach 900 prestige.
- 2 prestige per villager, up to the limit of 400 (200 people);
- 20 prestige per era (20 mesolithic, 20 neolithic, 20 copper, 20 bronze, 20 iron), up to the limit of 100;
That adds up to 500.
The remaining 400 come from houses, towers, storehouses, skull poles, totems and monuments.
This is the part that I do not know.
I was relying on my previous Northland hardcore experience that at 150 the raiders were at 30-32 and in AW is much more though their techs are still Neolithic.
So yeah I already set my mind before finishing the game last night that I need to up my population and forgetting the mammoths😀.
Too many risky tasks lead to misplay. I had 4 deaths due to a sledge lying somewhere too far and took me 2 cycles to locate and delete.
In that case i miss 40 by starting in Neolithic. So I need the maximum population possible to get to maximum prestige of 900 on my game. I didn’t bother to calculate beforehand but I noticed the mechanics.
Now you confirmed it, thanks!
btw: Thank @ottoVonRibbentrop. I just confirmed his research.
so a 3rd henge would be useless -- thats my experience..
I'm not sure. I had 3 monuments of one stone, 1 monument of 3 stones and 1 of six stones.
I recycled 2 monuments of one stone (to make a cairn) and the prestige did not diminish.
Maybe only one of each is counted.
