I also realized that migration is realistic so I just let the game through to what it is. Aside from the fact that births are not giving me headway to what I want with my settlement.
Right now the same Hardcore game I have in Northlands is quite a struggle to reach my 300 population target (now I’m hovering around 250) and the immigrants are just a trickle (mostly elders) so it’s going to take a lot of work. Couple with my target to gather all the megaliths is just a ridiculous and tedious job.
In the first amazon szenario you get a lot of conditioned spawns. (Most when you unlock techniques).
You can cut a bit of the scenario files and delete the spawns. Was intended as a configuration example :-)
Then you can switch off immigration in any scenario, if you want, and only grow through births. And you could at least give your starting population names.
The mod "Activity Manager" for dawn of man supports the ability to rename your residents. https://www.nexusmods.com/dawnofman/mods/6
