What controller do you use?

Thinking of ditching my 360 controller, the d-pad is awful for games like this. What would you recommend?

Speaking as the developer, throughout development I used to use X360 gamepad, but switched over to a Xbox Series X controller after it finally wore down. I've found the Series X controller's dpad to be pretty good, even if I personally do not like how clicky it can feel at first.

I use a DualSense controller. Played the whole game using the analog stick. Worked perfect fine.

I use a Xbox Series X Gamepad, one of the best Dpads I have ever used. Very tactile and clicky.

I will also buy this game on PS5 in the physical edition, there of course I will use the DualSense (dpad is not as good imo, but still okay).

I use a mix of Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, and 8bitdo Ultimate (wired). I'm usually using the Ultimate.

Stadia controller. Best D-pad of any controller since the dreamcast. Shame the service associated with it was garbage, though.

Can't go wrong with a standard Dualshock 4. One of the best d-pads on a controller.

theres an 8bitdo controller thats similar to a snes controller but also has joysticks on it. the dpad on that controller is a good one. i prefer dpad myself on games that allow it, and it was quite nice imo. i played multiversus for hundreds of hours on a dpad. also, played stuff like dead cells, mega man, katana zero.. games like that with it and it was really nice for me. hope this helps.

Sanwa joystick nacon daija, razer raion, series-x dpad, 8bitdo neogeo, 8bido sf30 dpad.
Everything else was just not enjoyable.

This game should be played only with keyboard. Impossible to shoot hook correctly with both stick and dpad.
