game won't zoom.... can't resume

I started over in career mode since the new update... all went well. I have progressed up to getting the "special orders" of control demand etc.... Today I loaded game and it was zoomed in close and I tried to zoom out and no response from the mouse... then I opened the menu to save and the resume key would not respond and let me resume the game.... so I don't know what happened. I had to exit.

brand new game seemingly got corrupted after a couple saves... started a new game all over at the begining and it worked as it should.
