I suppose one cool thing to do with dying is to maybe add a reanimated corpse of your previous guy that you would have to deal with. Make him randomly appear in ships up until the point where he died, then after that he would leave you alone or at that point he would be killable. But up until then, he wouldn't be killable, but you could knock him down with a good amount of bullets and he would stay down for a long time, or you could treat him like some other harder monsters and close doors on him and lock them. They could make him really haunting and creepy too, and make him say things like "why did you do this to me!" Or even worse, make him a liberal.
I'm familiar with FPS already but still died sometime.
When dying is game-play or story is nice.
But die repeatedly and start from 0 feel you have to redo everything again.
That's not a fun gaming. For me, if you interested.
It's weird that you complain on death when anyway you failed play much the game.
Permadeath and no save with fps is only for very short fps, and all probably use permanent unlock anyway.
That said, myself I'd like have an option to temper the pixel aiming for shooting and picking stuff, so some options for different more permadeath modes, why not.
Anyway let forget Doom; there isn't long distance, the heights are minimal so it's not flat, but not really involved in combats not even progression.
For pure shooting gameplay it is definitely limited, it is much more on strategy and tactics.
rip raoring like im mick gordon on a 9-sting
so when i lost 70 RPG ammo and 280 pistol ammo, 70 rifter, ... and 7 warp keys!
i was like damn! thats gonna live a mark.
dude you won't feel the pain till you really advance trough the galaxy. if you don't feel like buying the game (and dont have the money to buy it) then act like me.
"i come strapped, with six pistols and a dagger;
walk under the black flag, with the scallywag swagger
there's no honor in my job, and i know it really good;
but i live in a poor land, i just hope you understood"
