Barracks/Buying units

I'm trying to find a way to be able to buy units from a shop and add them to the field. I found a plugin that would have been perfect but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know a way to do this?

As alternative, you can create a dialogue event with "show choices" command (something like "Do you want to hire a soldier?"), which, if you answer "yes", dedact some money and add a unit to your team. This could be a limited-use event.
I know, this is very primitive, but it could work and do what you need. And without any plugins.

I take it you're talking about Pike's plugin? I would advise contacting him about it if the plugin isn't working for you.
