Recruiting an EV Enemy?
In my current project, I have an automatic event set up where an EV Enemy shows up on Turn 3. She is supposed to be recruitable, and I have set up a Talk Event for her that works precisely the way you would expect, except that when my Lord moves to attempt to talk to her, no Talk Command is displayed.

I assume that this is because the game doesn't seem able to reference her properly considering that she didn't exist up until that point, and when she does exist the game doesn't seem capable of recognising it.

Anyway, I'd love to hear if there are any solutions to this problem, such as a way to maybe force a Talk or somesuch, or perhaps some other obvious thing I hadn't noticed?

As a new user, I would highly appreciate any assistance whatsoever in this matter.

I just set up an event enemy, made it spawn on a specified turn, attached a talk event to it and then tested it. I had my player unit talk to and recruit the event enemy just fine.

How did you set this all up on your end? Knowing exactly what you did would help solve the problem.

Did you check to make sure you selected the event enemy version of said unit in the talk options? I've been able to get the talk option and recruitment thing to work, but it does lead to a problem, on the next map that character will leave because they aren't technically a real player unit. Is there no way to have a recruitable enemy character that spawns in as a reinforcement?

Not sure if you've gotten this sorted out yet or not, but this should work for ya if not!

When you're at the EV Enemies tab, you can right click on the left side and at the bottom of the list you have the option to "Create Player as Enemy." Choose the person you want to be recruited and select them and then select whatever other stats or things you may want for them (By default they have whatever stats and items you gave them in the main Player Database).

Next, create an Auto Event for the map and set whatever conditions you want and then have them appear through the "Unit Appearance" option. Once that's done, just have the Talk event all set up (make sure you select the right EV Enemy!) and once you recruit them, they should stay in your party after you clear the map since they ARE a Player character in this case.

Hope this helps!
