All Xbox controllers control the same character - can't play local

Hello,
Just bought the game, but can't play local multiplayer (which is what we bought it for). Any of the 3 xbox controllers we have plugged in control the same character (player 1). Going into settings and changing to gamepad 2 or three for player 2 or three don't do anything (even though they're detected)...

go into settings, then go to key bindings, scroll down, click on show p2/p3 bindings, then select the controller that you want to use and put the controlls with the selected controller in.

I'm doing what you say and change the gamepad in the option for player 2 with gamepad 2 (it's saying active) and if I push the A button to jump with the second gamepad player 1 and player 2 jump together, but if I push A with the first conroller only player 1 jump. Even if I use only PS4 controller or Xbox 360 or mixed connected with usb it's do the same thing. So WTF ?!!!

Might be a little late to the party, but I had a similar problem. Start the game with all of the controllers turned off. Turn them on once the game is running.
