We're working on some basic NAT Punchthrough (Edit: It's now live in the 1.0.4 update) support as people in general find it hard to port forward a game. I hope we can get it working. Hopefully more hosts will start to be active and those having a hard time joining games might be able to join easily.
The game, as always, is a work in progress, and we hope it will attract more players over time as the game becomes richer in content.
Our current priorities are:
a) Implementing some ideas to combat hacking, piracy, impersonation, and other behavior that hurts the experience of other players.
b) The next story campaign, which we plan to roll out for Steam's Lunar New Year sale, i.e. in about a week's time.
After the campaign (which has been extremely time-consuming!), we will probably focus on adding more maps, weapons and items to make the base game more interesting.
We also intend to bring the game to more platforms, and to keep releasing content. SFD is still getting attention from smaller review outlets and streamers - with some luck, we could get a large influx of players.
SFD is a unique game, and we believe it has a chance of finding a bigger audience. And if you're one of the people playing and talking about the game - thank you! We really appreciate it.
