What's the current ~player base count?
Do you guys think this game will be popular/populated in the long run (many years to come)?
Don't wanna buy an MMO that's gonna be dead in 1 year or so, and this looks really interesting.

It varies. There are a lot on right now because full release just happened. How many stick around remains to be seen. It's not the type of game that needs thousands online in order to be enjoyable. It's more like an action RPG in terms of party format.

its a pay one time game, there's no subscriptions, DLC to buy (at least for the time being), or recurring fee's of any sort. The community is alive and kicking now (in ladder season), and a LOT of people are still low level. This is the best time to get the game. Down the road, the game may or may not be populated like literally any online game, at least you dont have to worry about additional costs.

This is not an MMO, but a sessional Dungeon crawl. It won’t be so popular, because the idea of ​​grinding for the sake of grinding is outdated.
I played for over an hour when it was in early access and issued a refund. Now there are a lot of high-quality MMOs with an interesting plot and dynamic battles, which are much more interesting.

I know, but when I posted this question, it didn't say any number (which is only the case if there are very few or no players at all in-game). That is the reason I posted this in the first place. Thanks anyways tho

Are you talking about SteamDB? Sometimes they don't return a player count because one of the services is down.

Same here, waiting for a sale! Actually, the base price is a bit much for my country. Probably would only worth considering on at least a 50% sale or more.
