Unlocking bikes?

I have tons of stars, halfway through the game, none of the bikes have unlocked other than the second bmx. The game is now impossible to play with the starter bikes - anyone else having this issue?

Laughterhouse, I've been wondering the SAME thing. This game doesn't always make it clear HOW to unlock the bikes. MAYBE it's a "game hint" somewhere, but I feel like it should be somewhere else too. I miss the days of game manuals. HELL, this game doesn't even have a tutorial. I like Shred 2, but [the lack of info on certain things like] this IS frustrating
