This game has less of a difficulty curve and more of a difficulty right angle.
Pretty much what the title says, did anybody else find the difficulty curve in this game a little janky. I completely sailed through the first 90% of the game and then the final boss fight is roughly 500 times harder than anything that preceded it.

I can't imagine how anybody who wasn't doing every side room and secret challenge is going to beat that

Honestly my biggest struggle so far is getting use to aiming with the mouse in this game. I'm use to using 1200-1600 dpi, so I'm constantly miss aligning stuff. So far tho the main difficult rooms have been some of the timed ones for me, mostly chalk that up to my sens, and being too stubborn to lower it or actually take the time to learn to aim with my characters body via wasd.

Before someone posts mentioning a controller. YES, I realize the game is meant to be played with a controller..

I'd agree, except I got stuck even earlier. (even with a controller) around when you get the choice of 3 different dungeons at once. Can't do any of them, there's such a jump in difficulty from the previous dungeons, requiring much faster reactions - and introducing those bumpers that constantly spew streams of homing projectiles!

Good thing that I noticed some rooms can be skipped if you have enough energy. Not entirely aware if each stage and the encompassing levels have a set detirmened amount though, to make all doors still acessible.

Honestly with K+M, when it comes to the homing attacks I just mash left click and dash around, most of the time I can just take the attack and use it myself, or just dodge it all together.

I actually thought the last boss was a lot of fun. Chaotic at times, but by no means overly difficult. Synchronize Fields (or whatever that is called) was by far the hardest thing I did in game. There was one puzzle with two bumpers at the bottom and you had to progressively clear the top bumpers without touching the bottom ones too many times or it resets. That took forever for me. The boss was pretty tough too as that's the one where you have two EMPs on your platform at all times.

@imlikeMacGyver I also struggled with that one, was the first time I gave up on a room. Then I got the Thunder Staff and was like... ooooh. Finished it first try.

@HooliganTuesday I actually found the last boss much easier than the rest of the game. I did have every strike and charge tool by then, so I just switch to different weapons depending on the challenge. I was having a lot more issue with trick rooms to get secrets.

Also played with an X1 controller if that helps.
