Gal*Gun 2 - Leftover Motion Controls from Nintendo Switch?

I have been curious about this ever since I started playing on PC, but I noticed the "Motion Sensor Function" toggle is still present from the Switch original and was very excited to continue playing the same way I did on there. And this certainly can not be an excuse of lack of support for the controller, because Steam officially supports the Switch Pro Controller, but the game does not recognize motion when this is turned on. I wanted to verify this by testing out the PS4 controller, a controller that has been supported on Steam for longer than the Switch Pro Controller. And again, the motion did not work.

Did they mean to eventually add this into the Steam version or is this just some menu scrap from the Switch original? Because it got me very excited! Only to find out it does not do anything.

I know it's a late reply, but if the gyro functions don't work in other supported games, it might be a hardware/driver issue.
