"troll post"... Why? Because I didn't like it as much as you did? I gave a list of reasons of why I disliked it and if you don't like them it's not my problem.
"you only care for combat in game and not the story"... dude, this is DBZ. They didn't reinvent anything story wise. Non of it was nothing we have never seen before. Sure, they head few pretty cutscenes thrown in there, but ofcourse when I play a videogame I care for the gameplay first. By the midpoint of the DLC you are already overleveled and no battle from the point Trunks travel back in time is challenging.
You are entitled to like the DLC, I find it lacking especially since it is trying to be the last triumphant for this game.
The Majin Buu Saga of the Future is canon, just not shown completely in the anime. Trunks talked about his fight and how he attained SSJ2 in Super while talking with Krillin and Piccolo. Manga of Super covered also some parts like the Supreme Kai dying iirc.
I know this part is cannon and I have 0 problems with it. My issue is that the last thing I expected from a DLC that meant to wrap up the DBZ story was me fighting pui pui and Yarkon again...
And idk if I wasn't clear in my statement above, but I meant that from the moment Trunks return to the future I was completely overpowered in every battle (about 5-10 levels above anything I fought", so there was no challenge for me and I simply played from a cutscene to a cutscene... I didn't even tried to farm levels
You should play side-quests and try to use your D-medals and orbs to grow stronger, plus, you ACTUALLY do fight Pui Pui and Yakon again, unless you wanted to fight them in their planets.
I know you fight them again, I was complaining about it being a thing xD
I would much rather have buff Trunks vs Perfect Cell rather then fighting nobodies like Pui Pui and Yarkon again
Oh, I thought you meant something else by wrap up lmao.
Yeah tbh Buff Trunks lacked here, but what can I expect from a game who DIDN'T INCLUDE THE FINAL FLASH SCENE, that was upsetting, but still it was hella epic, too bad the journey ends here, I guess I'll wait for a DBS: Kakarot instead.
LOL YEA, The Final Flash scene missing was bad. I hope they will announce in E3 a DBS DLC pass for Kakarot with the Goku Black + Universe 6 Tournament + Tournament of power stories. At this point maybe it will make sense to have a sequel to Kakarot all together, but I the 3 DLC's prepared the groundwork for Super nicely (even the Trunks one funny enough)
I know they said that the Season pass included 3 DLCs but I'd like to think they'd add a secret story arc which is dragon ball super, because with all the games they do, I can tell they're unpredictable, depending on the situation, really I didn't expect for example for SSJ4 Gogeta to come out in FZ because we already had blue gogeta and asked myself "what moves is he even going to have?"
So I hope they do that instead of making a separate game where we have to buy possibly double the money, hell I'll buy it anyway.
I just have a feeling Super is kind of lacking in content to support a full game on it's own. Maybe a fighting game, but not a story driven one. Most of the stories in super so far revolve around a tournament which isn't really an RPG material (unless you count the arcs that haven't been translated to anime yet and the ones that were already used in DLC 1 and 2). So for me it feels more like a DLC content rather than a new game content. But what do I know? XD
Beerus Saga.
Freeza Resurrection saga.
Poutafou mini-saga saga.
Universe 6 tournament saga. (DLC)
Goku Black saga. (DLC)
Tournament of power saga. (DLC)
That's how I imagine it.
The two DLCs in kakarot were the movies, except that beerus was done in the wrong place with the wrong choreography, literally where dafuq did we see SSJG Vegeta? Maybe in the manga.
They also only cover the Z part of Dragon Ball. They chose the best story to finish the game on imo. They could have used plot from some of the old movies, but fights would have been copy-paste of actual canon story or be like the first two DLCs.
No offense, but I feel you set your expectations really high, like waiting to fight a wild lvl 300 Goku Black and Zamasu out of nowhere while you are below lvl 100. Fighting an overly powerful boss isn't fun imo. You waste over an hour to lower one of their health bar and you get 1 shotted for being unlucky with a dodge.
I didn't expect to fight Zamasu considering the promotional material to the DLC was strictly about the Androids. I did however expected them to give me a reason to want to lvl up my Trunks considering they made us restart our progression with him. Sure you could say we are lucky to have the Majin Boo arc content, but I would say that it would be really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if we didn't and would make the DLC no more than just another "boss battle episode" but against the Androids.
If you really wanna know what I expected when they said it will be an "original" story arc, I expected it to be some timeline merging crisis Xenoverse style. I believed it would be the case because of Mira and Towa being in the game. I thought they might pull in some movie villains from other timelines in order to conquer the cannon timeline, and that will be the premise of the arc. I don't think expecting the developers making a bunch of new models and animations for new enemies to fight is "setting my expectations high", I do however think that reusing character models and animations with a few tweaks from the main game is setting the bar low to what was considered a "big DLC"
