So, one, the game devs are Japanese
Two, and this one hurts as a western fan for 30+ years but you get used to it, TOEI and Bird Studios (and Bandai in this case since they own publishing rights to DB games) don't give any ♥♥♥♥♥ about fans OUTSIDE of Japan. It isn't that they don't appreciate and love us also, but in terms of who is important and who their audience is when they take fan polls and gear new products for, it is NEVER us. We are the silent audience for Dragon Ball products. Whether we love it or not, it is only the Japanese fans' opinions that count.
Three, the devs make predominately PC games, porting them to the consoles afterwards, so this game was literally made FOR the PC before any port was made for it. That being said... I've seen the "next gen" update for the console versions of this game... no, they do not look better than the PC version, they simply run the game with many settings unlocked and a higher resolution than the previous console generation did. My laptop here runs the game on the highest settings with a.. technically... 3k resolution. It looks better than what the Series X and PS5 versions display, without question.
If you are seeing worse visuals on your PC version than say you PS5 version, your PC is a potato or your settings are simply set lower than the console version runs at.. lol
wrong, volumetric clouds, more grass life, further view distance, all of that helps for a more immersive experience. you monkey
Wouldn't surprise me if he was. The length of excuses corporate go to control the narrative is disgusting.
Sadly at this point the upgrade wont come unless after a certain amount of time Bandai decide to sell it as a whole new Remastered game to try and get you to buy it again.
Maybe I'd be inclined to believe the game was made for PC first if it literally didn't switch the UI controls back to console scheme EVERY reset.
Shouldn't they care about money though? I won't buy any DLC until they release the visual upgrades. I'm sure many others are doing the same.
Yep. Console gaming is huge in Japan. They aren't a big PC gaming market because most people don't have the extra space. When I lived there, the best place to find PC parts was on the US military base.
