The Key To Card Warriors
There are three main tactics I employ in Card Warriors that seem to yield the best results the majority of the time.
First: get low cost character cards to attack as early as possible.
Second: make sure at least 1/3 of your deck involves cards that draw cards; drawing cards is much more important than planting a few heavy hitters in the first three turns because it's easy to wipe weak enemies.
Third: synergize and take advantage of your symbols! Deck synergy heavily revolves around sacrificing cards to draw out the full potential of better cards. Don't be afraid to sacrifice cards either by losing them on the field or by discarding them yourself. Gohan (Tournament Ready) is an excellent card because 1) it puts down a 5000atk character, 2) draws a card, 3) gives you a blue symbol when defeated, 4) only costs 2, and 5) allows you to discard a card. There are many cards that benefit from having discarded character or event cards in your graveyard. For example, the 5 cost Gohan card that decreases in cost for every spent event card; or any Surge character who benefits from saiyans in the graveyard (such as the 3 cost Gohan that deals 30000 damage to an enemy after 15 surge points).

The current metagame revolves around three kinds of decks:
1) Vegito decks --- typically use Vegeta to summon Vegito and place a Goku card that draws cards when saiyan cards are placed. It can finish a match by spending a gold energy and dealing 5000 damage per Gohan or Gotenks card in hand.
2) Android decks --- get a cheap android 17/18 on field asap. Some configurations rely on a defensive 18; others use Show Me The Money; virtually all variations will have Cell cards that sacrifice androids to empower Cell and either clear the field, summon Cell Jrs, or deal damage directly to the opponent's health.
3) Blue Symbol decks --- these rely on drawing as many low cost blue energy cards as possible, as quickly as possible, and attacking your opponent's lifepoints directly. Even if they wall you with a level 10 shielded character, you can usually finish them off in the next turn or two by directly attacking their HP with Goku's Kamehameha or a Parting Words card.

The second tier of decks mainly includes
1) Majin Buu - Almost comparable to top tier meta decks but just can't quite cut it. Buu builds struggle in the early part of the game and are prone to losing before they can pull out their heavy hitters. These builds are typically energy increasing builds that eat lots of purple energy symbols. Their strong point is that once they are fully set up they are almost impossible to defeat, but this is usually mid-late game.
2) Ginyu Force - Relies on summoning SP card ginyu force, rendering them invincible for a turn, and reviving them; possibly has regular Ginyu cards, or Frieza cards with his Saucer support card. Ginyu cards will add 5000atk to Ginyu Force cards OR draw and spawn the whole Ginyu Force. This build is hit or miss and is prone to being neutralized by cards that steal or destroy SP cards, like Candy Beam or 18's Parting Kiss.
3) Gotenks - Too random and unreliable to consistently bounce with the top decks, but can be fun and versatile. The main issue is the lack of ways to cheaply draw cards. You're mainly going to rely on cards that can summon Gotenks or draw Goten/Trunks. You may use Goten/Trunks support cards but typically you'll want to stick with Gotenks' support cards because they are more powerful. Gotenks' Galactic Donuts support card can be devastating after powering it up with many spent event cards. These builds can synergize with Blue Symbol decks but at that point you might as well just run a Blue Symbol deck instead of Gotenks. The level 2 Trunks card that KOs enemies whose level is less than your bank energy CAN be useful and there are plenty of ways to stay alive until mid-late game, but the problem I find is that Gotenks decks lack the ability to clench matches once they go beyond the mid-point of the match. Your sweetspot is round 6 or sooner.

All of these deck archetypes are heavily customizable and vary from player to player. That's what makes Card Warriors so great. If you're reading this, hop on Card Warriors and join us for this month's Tournament. Don't worry about winning or losing; victory will be assured if you stick with the game and learn its fundamentals. Plus I want to play with someone so we can figure out new viable decks. :')

For PC you can still play, but the servers are pretty much empty.
