First, Dragon Ball GT is not involved in this game at all (no character, no transformation,etc.).
And it's very unlikely that it will ever be involved.
Dragon Ball Super on the other hand is part of the game (as a DLC) but as far as I can tell it only covers one specific movie (I think it was Frieza's Resurrection or something like that). That's it. So I'd say you can play the whole game, it's safe.
(Personal opinion: Dragon Ball Super is garbage and totally overhyped, it's nothing but a cashcow. And lorewise it's a joke. Only my opinion but you might want to find out for yourself.)
Thanks very much. I might go ahead and just play it then, if it piques my interest I'll watch that movie and maybe some of Super.
Cheers.
So GT isn't in the game.
As for Super - it does features some mechanics and characters from the "Battle of Gods" movie and a Frieza movie. But it doesn't follow the storyline of Super.
I'm about halfway through rewatching DBZ again right now, after that I might watch the first few Super movies, whichever ones are the sort of 'catch up' ones. And then I'll play the Kakarot DLC. Probably on Steam but maybe on Xbone or PS.
