Is Super Saiyan worth using?

I just unlocked SS to use whenever I want but according to the description there's absolutely nothing different about it. Is there something I'm missing or is there really nothing different?

It doesn't drain health like kaioken does

Yeah I saw it gets a few levels like kaioken. But there was nothing saying whether it still drained ki and/or health.

On the skill tree it says it does drain Ki.

Kaioken is better than SSJ if you're playing as Goku for a bit since you can upgrade it to add more %damage than SSJ

yeah you need to eat alot of food as goku just for the max KI increase it provides really helps with staying in forms for longer

I'm at endgame AFAIK. Level 127 Gohan (Goku for me has been reliably 3 levels below Gohan for awhile now). I haven't used kaioken since I got SSJ. You quickly gain more SSJ upgrades and further transformations (SSJ2, SSJ3, Piccolo Special, Gohan Special) and each time a new one became available I started using it because it made the battles to come easier. Protip: Clear out the side quests (blue) before continuing. Some are locked to certain points in the story and there seems to be no possible way to make them up later.

also, not sure if you know this but SSJ3 lvls up to 150% dmg increase. i believe SSJ/Kaioken only go up to 75 or 100% (can't recall at the top of my head) Also i did some testing and your supports will transform to their best transformation when you transform but will not if you don't.

When Level 3, all levels of SSJ outstrip Kaioken, and the next tier up always beats the one before. SSJ3 is 150% at max, this is ridiculously huge compared to any other DBZ game ever where the increase is like 5%, 10%, etc.

well makes sense since this is a single player game, where as in other games they had to balance it for pvp so could not make it as over powered as it's supposed to be

I'm guessing the same didn't happen for you guys but when I first got it the description for me was literally the same as kaioken so it confused me at first. Once I got past the next cutscene it did have the ki drain description. So it must've been an odd bug.
