For starters PS controllers aren't really a plug and play process on PCs the way an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller would of been. While the Xbox line come with native support for Windows PC, Playstation offers no built in support for PC play. So you need to first setup the controller for your PC to even use the controller.

That guide should help you get your PS3 Controller setup for PC use. Good luck.
First, thank you for your answer. But I does not fix the problem sadly. And it is a third party controler. But it got good reviews where all people say that it works on pc and with steam very well. I mean the controler is accepted on steam even without the program, but the control in game does not fit in almost any case of the game. >_< I just wanted to play I am so sad... yikes
anyways, ds4 works perfectly fine if you enable the thingy in the controller options from steam
I believe you can pick up a wired xbox one controller for $25
or you can try JoyToKey and see if you can map out your controller to work
I dunno if you can still get the program somewhere, and if you can i'm not sure it will work with the recent windows build.
