Are you playing it from someone else's library??
no my internet was out earlier and i went to offline mode, launched the game and my save was gone, when i went back online the save was there, went back and forth from online to offline it still happens, yeah i thought about that, i guess saving in this game does not sync for offline

Same, though it turns out the Offline mode and Online modes have different save locations. You can copy your save over, and they'll show up in Continue, but when you try to load it says that there's no data.

Alright, I figured it out. You didn't quite give the save location but I found it anyways.

Here's where your save data normally is,

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOUR STEAM ID HERE\851850\remote\

You copy all the save data from there into

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AT\Saved\SaveGames

and add .sav onto the end of the files. You'll be good to go after that.

Where do you found your save files?

You are an absolute hero thanks soo much! Though i did it the other way round to what you said, my system had the newer saves while steam cloud had my older ones. I was blazing through the game in an effort to try make it back to where i was but id have still taken me 8 hours or so! Lesson learned anyway cloud saving turned the ♥♥♥♥ off

See, I'm trying to do the opposite; moving from the appdata location to the steam one, but my game won't load them because they're .sav, and not the generic "File" that they're made by default in that folder. If that makes sense, anyways.

Nevermind, got it. Can't believe I didn't think of it; went to View, checkmarked Show File Extensions and just deleted them. Now they're just 'File' and work like a charm :D

I know I am bumping but this thread just saved me more than 7 hours of progress that I thought I just lost!!!

But why the hell did this happen? I don t want it to happen again.

This doesn't work for me. The game cannot be tricked by me renaming the file and adding a .sav at the end. I've tried multiple times but simply typing .sav will not convert the online save data into offline format. I don't know how others on here got it to work but for me it doesn't work. 5/29/20

I just had the same issue, only difference is older saves showed up for some reason?
When i tried to play offline, my last save was post Buu Saga.
But what showed up where some old saves from the cell saga that i had over written like a week ago. Very odd behavior for a game that's supposed to be primarily single player...
