Is there a 3D Dragon Ball fighting game just like Fighterz that still has population ?
Graphics-wise I like Kakarot better, but the gameplay in XV2 is superior and it is mostly a 3D arena fighter, even though with certain RPG elements in story modes. You can pick two characters or character teams and have them fight in XV2.
I play mostly co-op missions in XV2. I've had occasional connection issues in missions where you play with five other people. In co-op with fewer people or in PVP not that much.
FighterZ also has rubbish netcode anyway. And unlike XV2 single player contents are negligible.
The fighting mechanics aren't bad, but they definitely are shallow compared to other fighting games. But I would just say that's cuz this isn't a fighting game (although i wish they had added the option of raising the combat depth/difficulty). This isn't a perfect DBZ game, and they definitely could have made it near perfect, but for what it is, it's just really fun to look at and explore. There is a lot of content in the game besides the fighting. I personally love just how much of the world opens up when you progress, how many side ventures there are, the visuals, the soundtrack, and the creative writing and voice acting. You could definitely spend many hours in this game while scratching different types of gaming itches. The card game is also definitely worth checking out.
This game focuses on the story and exploring more than the combat. The combat, while fun at first, becomes a way of just unlocking the next awesome cinematic cutscene.
If you want a fighting game, try Budokai 2, Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Xenoverse 2, or FighterZ.
They get lots of love from the DBZ fighting game community!
