Question: Did you ever save manually, or did you rely on the auto save feature? No one should ever rely on auto saving alone.
Otherwise, I lost my save once too when I played and I lost my internet connection while playing. When the conncetion returned and I started the game again, I had lost all my progress. But this was easily fixed since the computor also saves a copy of your save files. I don't remember exactly where to find them, but you can search on the internet on where to locate these files. Then it is simply to copy over those saves from the PC saves folder over to and replace the cloud saves in their folder and all is fixed.
Best tip, look up online how to find the folders for the PC saves and Cloud saves. Then copy and replace all files in the folder.
I hope this helps, although confusing to read.
