I still think Raditz should have had a bigger role. I mean he was the first and only character to achieve Saiyan 3.

Kakarot (Kakarotto) - Goku's birth name, is an interesting mutation of "carrot". ... "Goku" also refers to the amount of rice needed to feed a person for a year, tying in with his grandfather's name "Gohan" meaning "awakening to rice". Yes most names are from foods, but that is only part of the intention, in Japan, gods and their spirits come from all life forms, and are represented by things like the Radish, and other seemingly non-sentient life, I really loved Spirited Away for showing this so amazingly, and in great detail.

Ummm,.. I think you are forgetting that Saiyan 4 has been achieved by Goku let alone 3.. Broli, Vegeta, Vegetto, Gogeta, Gohan, Bardock, and Raditz, have all achieved Saiyan 3

Yeah they have achieved Super Saiyan 3 and higher, but not Saiyan 3. Raditz is the only one that has done that!
