There is no confirmation that we'll actually see the events of Super (Champa, Black, ToP). Battle of Gods and Resurrection F are, by technicality, Z Era movies- and the datamining of Goku and Vegeta as both God and Blue mostly cements they'll be adapting those two, considering the first two DLCs are called "Boss Battle" DLCs or something, then a third that says something about an "Original story".
I have a feeling the lattermost DLC is going to have to do with either Android 21 or Bonyu, but that's just me.
Secondly... the "Boss Battle" title of the first DLC is concerning, as what it implies is that we're not going to get the story of Battle of Gods, just transformations, moves and a fight with Beerus and since it's 2 boss battles... Golden Frieza at a later date. It kinda sounds like "a wild Beerus has appeared, go punch him a lot" without the meeting at King Kai's planet, the bingo dance or "MY BULMA" moments. "2 original story episodes" is now being called "2 boss battle episodes" and this is concerning. Then the second DLC is some original story. They might do something with this Bonyu character since they've created her and forgot to use her for anything.
The entire DLC is:
- Training with Whis to achieve SSG form
- Fight with Beerus
Also title of DLC "A New Power Awakens - Part 1" could mean that in the truth this is one DLC divide on two parts, so they can get more money. Ofc Part 2 will have SSJ Blue with more training with Whis and Golden Frieza.
And the last thing which makes this more hilaurous is that you can do DLC content whenever you want. Yes, that means you can have SSG form during Cell games if you farm enough exp (and buy enough healing potions).
I dont remember Vegeta SSG in Beerus saga. So it isnt canon for Dragon Ball Z.
That's not how that works.... It's a game buddy. I can't believe you're worried about canonity in a game.
For many of the people here, keeping everything as it was in DBZ manga was one of the best aspects of this game, so we should keep it. Now they decided to make DLC which you can end before ending the main story and get SSG form probably before SSJ3, which is kinda stupid.
We paid 25 dollars for a Season Pass, so it should be done right, not just "lets throw it as a side-quest and fanboys will buy it anyway"
The game didn't keep everything as it was in the manga. Goku & Piccolo learning to drive is a completely filler anime thing & it's in the game & it's a required story mission, it's not even a side quest. On top of that there's all the side missions in the game that were made for this game that weren't from the manga or the anime.
This game's story was never about sticking to the manga. Given the type of story content this game already had it shouldn't be surprising that the DLC isn't any different.

1. I am writing this all of the time and that Vegeta WASNT SSJG during Beerus saga and The Battle of Gods Dragon Ball Z movie (not Super). SSJG Vegeta has appered in Dragon Ball Super movie, so it isnt part of Dragon Ball Z at all.
2. Where we have written that it isnt, although Beerus and Resurection F are movies from Dragon Ball Z not Super.
3. SSGSS is the name used by Goku in Resurection F. Also you can find it in Dragon Ball FighterZ, so you are wrong
